And here is an interview with our girl, Constance McMillen. How fabulous is she!?!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
And no matter who you are, what you are, where you are, if you want to dance, to quote the wise words of Lady Gaga, “It’s alright, a-alright…”
… how you want, where you want and with whomever you so choose (so long as they want to dance with you, don’t forget that part.) And wearing a tux could only make things hotter. Keep that in mind.
yours queerly,
(a.k.a jesse james)

I’ve joined the group and I’ll make a point of ensuring everyone on my friendlist knows about it too. Quite frankly, this kind of behaviour disgusts me. They’re trying to dictate what an ”acceptable” relationship is. Would they (the school, board etc) have this kind of problem with someone bringing an older date to the prom? I know some schools over here do ask that students not bring partners over 18 but that’s generally due to liquor laws. I remember they had an agreement that anyone over 18 who was attending had to sign, stating they would not drink during the ball/prom. If Constance had just brought her girlfriend along, said she was a friend, would they even have blinked?

Thanks for the links, sainchick! The support Constance is receiving is really making my heart swim… like, maybe, just maybe… eh, don’t want to jinx things. But I’m feeling hopeful today.

Somehow I managed to read a rant that isn’t here. I hope you didn’t take it down because you were worried about people being phobic and nasty about it. I just want to say you and your rant rock, and you should feel free to rant, in public, as much as you want. For every single one of the ‘phobes who sent you hate mail, there had to be at least a few like me who were cheering you on.

Holy smokes, you’re quick! I accidentally posted tomorrow’s post, for maybe 30 seconds tonight, rather than saving a draft. It was a draft but will look fairly similar tomorrow morning when it goes up. Thanks though, Nezuko, for the sneak-peak comment.
