I would never have gone to a GSA meeting in high school, but knowing there was one for me to attend if I wanted, that would have been really helpful. Even in college, I looked at the GSA meetings with longing, wishing I had the fortitude to walk over and join them, but also taking comfort in the fact that they were there, talking, socializing and showing me I wasn’t completely alone.

Do you think that the internet is making it any easier for kids to come out these days? I keep thinking that I would have had an easier time if I’d had the resources and the information at my fingertips (as it was, I had several books that were carefully hidden and then found and thrown away by my mom when she cleaned my room out after I graduated).
