How’s the ankle healing up? I am someone who can’t pass up that opportunity to do something cool, and it’s usually not until afterward (when I’ve sustained the injury) that I reconsider. At least you have a sexy nurse to attend to you … that has to take some of the pain away.

i can’t chime in on the femme consensus. i sprained *both* ankles AT ONCE pretending to be odette (swan lake) and was on crutches for weeks. the thing is, crutches don’t help much when you can’t put weight on either ankle.

however, the caveat is that i was 11 years old. i haven’t done such a thing in a long time…

hope you feel better soon! and that it’s not broken.

whoa spider jesse! very impressive, i’d never even heard of parkour. looks like it takes some mad core strength. but, um, maybe work on that gentle-landing thing a bit more? hope it turns out to be a sprain & that you feel better soon.

And, sorry, but yes, I’ll agree with Violet on this ~ no insurance, don’t go risking life and limb. Although, I would have thought differently when I was younger.

I hope the ankle is better soon. Dude, isn’t there a County hospital or clinic you can go to? If it’s broken you don’t want it to start healing without it being set properly.

Oh greg! I didn’t mean for this post to reinforce Violet’s view on this whole parkour business. She just read you comment and said, “That’s right! I’ve always liked that green eyed girl… and her clothes.”

And Kassie is the coolest kid, right?! I have a feeling my kid would be a little like that anyway, sans that perfect new jersey accent and without the ease that the mother had in correcting the language. I think if karma has anything to do with your child’s personality and I told my kid that “ass” was a bad word she’d light a cigarette and tell me to shove it.

I just watched parkour video and nearly had a heart attack – wtf??!! I was scared just watching that. But I am impressed that you would even attempt it and I really hope that ankle heals quickly.
